She stood up inside the White House.
Now she’s building what comes next.
HER STORY
Olivia Troye isn't a career politician. She doesn't come from a political dynasty or a wealthy background; she is the daughter of a truck driver and a Mexican immigrant. What she does have is the courage to stand up for her country when it matters most—a trait that has made her a primary target of the MAGA movement.
Driven to serve after the attacks of September 11th, Olivia dedicated nearly 20 years to national security. Her career spanned the Pentagon, the National Counterterrorism Center under President Obama, and the Department of Homeland Security. Though she opposed Donald Trump in 2016, she remained in her non-partisan civil service role after his election, believing that duty to country must always transcend party lines. From inside the White House, she became a final line of defense, standing up to figures like Stephen Miller and Russ Vought to protect our national security.
After witnessing the inner workings of the Trump administration, Olivia could no longer remain silent. She chose to speak out publicly to prevent further damage to our democracy, playing a pivotal role in the 2020 election and later taking the stage at the 2024 Democratic National Convention.
Her defiance has come at a staggering personal cost. Olivia has endured relentless death threats, while Trump allies like Kash Patel and Richard Grenell have used legal warfare in an attempt to bankrupt and silence her. She hasn't backed down.
The folk art woven through this brand is not decoration. It comes from Olivia’s Mexican heritage — a visual language rooted in the same community, resilience, and cultural identity that shapes everything she builds. She is the daughter of a Mexican immigrant. That is not background. That is the foundation. Today, Olivia channels that experience into Olivia of Troye — a civic media network covering the stories, communities, and cultural forces shaping American life. Through documentary journalism, Substack, live conversations, and arts and cultural storytelling, she connects national issues to the people living with their consequences every day.
Olivia Troye founded People’s Courage because America deserves a civic media organization built by someone who has been through the fire and won’t flinch.
The campaign planted the flag. People’s Courage builds the home.
